Al MacDonald's Aviation-Inspired 1960 C1 Tribute Vette

When taking on the build of a tribute car it's important that it be artfully executed with specific attention paid to the finer points without going overboard on its intent. If there are too few details the concept will miss its mark and too many will make it look overdone. While there are plenty of reasons to take on a build of this type, one of the best has to be for honoring your dad and his military career.

Blaine and the team at Boot Hill Auto took on this project and made sure it was exactly what the doctor ordered. The entire team was up to the task of creating a one-of-a kind tribute Corvette that would honour the career and passion of Al MacDonald of North Bay, Ontario, Canada.

The vision for this 1960 Corvette started with a blank piece of paper, and inspiration can from many areas of Al's life including his involvement with NORAD where he flew McDonnell Voodoo CF-101 all-weather interceptor jets during the Cold War as a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force. The final results are stunning, with too many custom details and accessories to mention. Let's just say this classic has all the style, comfort, and power that can be stuffed into a classic Corvette.
