We're gearing up at Boothill for one of our most exciting builds yet. Our killer camaro is currently in the mach up stage as we prefit all of our upgraded components together. This is the preliminary step before any coatings are applied to the vehicle to verify proper fit and function.
The GM performance 502 ramjet needs to be paired up to it 5 speed O.D. Tremec transmission. The powertrain is then installed atop the redesigned suspension and all correct alignments and angles are set. We need to be sure that the airride system is completely compatible with our speedtech torque arm setup.
Any and all mods will be done in this first round of assembly including rack and pinion power steering, stainless steel fuel, brakes, airride, and a/c lines. The vintage air system will be fit under the dash behind the smoothy firewall. We'll even be sure the discrete stereo system is prepped for final assembly. So basically we're building a restomod 68 out of raw, unfinished materials and then we're going to tear it all down and apply the final paint and coatings and then reassemble with confidence that it'll be perfect.
Sound's like a lot of extra work? Welcome to the world of custom cars.
